General Discussion / Bras are Actually Bad for Women
« Last post by MC73 on April 12, 2013, 10:33:09 PM »
We’re not sure whether the scientists in question took too long in finding out the answer to the age-old question of ‘should women wear bras?’ or whether they’re absolute legends for taking their time… We’re going for the latter.

Jean-Denis Rouillon, the lead scientist behind the study, claims that ‘bras are not needed’ and that they may actually do more harm than good.

According to the Daily Mail, with the help of a slide rule and calliper, Rouillon spent years measuring changes in the orientation of the breasts of 130 women.

He said: “The first results validate the hypothesis that the bra is not needed. Medically, physiologically, anatomically, the breast does not benefit from being deprived of gravity.” Breasts become "dependent" on lingerie support once women start wearing it, meaning that supporting muscle is underused and degrades more quickly.

A 28-year-old volunteer involved in Rouillon’s study said she hasn’t worn a bra in over two years and that she swears by the results.

“There are multiple benefits: I breathe more easily, I carry myself better, and I have less back pain.”

So lads, all that’s left to do is to share and Tweet this to every good-looking female you know.

National News / New Pope - Pope Francis I
« Last post by MC73 on March 13, 2013, 04:34:46 PM »
Pope Francis I, the first non-European pontiff of the modern era, revealed himself to the world from a balcony at the Vatican on Wednesday.

Jorge Bergogolio, who served as archbishop of Buenos Aires, took the name Francis shortly after being elected by cardinals in what was apparently the fifth round of voting on the second day of the conclave.

"As you know, the duty of the conclave was to appoint a bishop of Rome," Francis told a cheering crowd of thousands packed into St. Peter's Square.

"It seems to me that my brother cardinals have chosen one who is from faraway. ... Here I am. I would like to thank you for your embrace."

Bergogolio, 76, is the first pope to take the name after St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and ecology. St. Francis, who lived in the 12th century, is regarded with great respect among Catholics.

Bergoglio is considered a straight-shooter who calls things as he sees them, and a follower of the church's most conservative wing.

He has clashed with the government of Argentine President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner over his opposition to gay marriage and free distribution of contraceptives.
